How to Close
- To close, place one hand at the end of the bag, while the other hand presses firmly along the zipper design.
- Push the sides closed as you work across the zipper, before you reach the end press out as much air as possible then finish closing the bag.
- The teeth of the zipper closed should be the same height, if you notice any difference in height, open the bag and close again. This will allow for optimum closure.
How to Clean
- Invert the bag completely inside out and place it directly into the dishwasher.
- Run your dishwasher on a normal cycle.
- To clean the zipper thoroughly use the Twinkle Straw or ECO Bottle Brush to get into the hard-to-clean grooves.
- For those tougher stains or odors try these cleaning tips:
- Homemade Cleaning Solution: Equal parts of distilled white vinegar, baking soda, and lemon juice.
- Turn bags inside out and wash lightly beforehand with a non-abrasive sponge and homemade cleaning solution.
- Fill up the sink or a bucket with hot water and soap.
- Submerge the bags into the hot soapy water.
- Let the bags soak for 1-2 minutes.
- For those stuffer stains or odors allow the bag to soak for 15 minutes.
- Wipe down and rinse the bags with hot water one last time.
- Allow bags to air dry.
Prepping Upfront Tips:
- Light batch cooking method, by preparing and cutting vegetables ahead of time and portioning them in the silicone bags.
- Write which meals they are for directly on the bag with a dry-erase marker and place them in the fridge until ready to use for the week.

Freezer Tips
- Use the freezer fill line when storing liquid ingredients or items with liquid like sauces, soups, or broths for optimum freezing conditions.
- Store the bag upright when liquid ingredients are inside for the first 3-4 hours, once set lay the bags flat for more space.
- Cut fruit, vegetables, grains, or whole pieces of meat, and stack the bags on top of each other for compact storage.
Defrosting Tips
- Defrost overnight in the fridge.
- For quick defrosting, place the frozen bag in a bowl of room-temperature water, and make sure the bag can stand.
- If defrosting in the microwave, vent the bag slightly and microwave standing up on low power until defrosted.
Fridge Tips
- Liquid ingredients or items with liquid like sauces, soups, or marinades should be stored upright for optimum conditions.
- Cut fruit, vegetables, grains, or whole pieces of meat, and stack the bags on top of each other for compact storage.
Microwave Tips
- For best results, make sure to vent the bag before reheating by leaving a portion of the seal open.
- Always reheat or defrost the bag standing up for best conditions.
- Always reheat on low power to prevent the food from drying out.
- Be mindful, that when defrosting from the freezer, make sure the bottom of the bag can stand flat before placing it in the microwave.
- Make sure the silicone bag is 5cm/ 2in away from the sides and top of the microwave walls.
- Always use oven mitts while handling the silicone bags to avoid burns.
- When opening, always open away from you to allow excess steam to release.
- Make sure the bag can fit easily in the microwave. If the bag is too large, recommend removing the contents and placing them in a microwave-safe container to reheat.

Sous Vide Tips
- For best results, make sure to squeeze out excess air and close securely before cooking. This will prevent any water from entering the bag.
- Make sure the pot used allows the bag to fit snugly along the sides, preventing the bag from floating during the cooking process. See the image on the right.

Saves bread from being wasted
- Wasting bread is very bad for the environment.
- Making bread requires a lot of water (especially growing the grain) and electricity. No slice should be wasted! Freeze the bread in portions in the Ultimate Silicone Bags.
- Unfreeze them in the morning by opening the bag 1-2 cm and placing them in the microwave oven. As a guideline, 3-4 slices of bread in the medium bag will take approx 1 min.
- 30 sec at 360 watts. Adapt timing according to the quantity of bread.
